Using Artificial Intelligence to Solve Combinatorial Problems
In recent years artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, especially those based on large language models, have improved significantly and have found applications in multiple domains. In particular, they have been used to solve mathematical problems. In this talk, we'll discuss how large language models were used to prove new lower bounds for a few problems in combinatorics. This talk is based on a recent Nature paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-023-06924-6.
